Reduce your carbon footprint and “Be a Planteater” at UCI Dining Halls – Being a Planteater at UCI highlights our many options for plant-based diets and environmentally preferred choices. Participants can be a Planteater at Pippin Commons, Brandywine, and The Anteatery to encourage people to go meatless on Mondays for both their health and the health of the environment. Visit or Volunteer at the UCI Family Health Center-Santa Ana's Mobile Food Pantry - The UCI Family Health Center's Mobile Food Pantry helps the community on the 1st Saturday of each month from 9 am - 11 am in the UCI Family Health Center Parking Lot (800 N. Main St. Santa Ana, CA 92701), distributing 55 pounds of food, 60-70% of the which is fresh produce. Click here for more information about the UCI Mobile Food Pantry >

Donate to the Anteaters Fight Hunger Food Drive, October 3-24 - Come by Pippins or the Anteatery and drop off your non-perishable foods to the cashier to support our SOAR Food Pantry which provides students with basic food supplies and information to help combat food insecurity on our campus. President Napolitano and chancellors from all 10 campuses have taken another courageous step towards a more sustainable future by creating the UC Global Food Initiative . The UC Global Food Initiative is a program committed to expanding research and sharing best practices to improve the food system. The Initiative aims to "rally the broad UC community across a wide range of disciplines to work toward putting the world on a path to sustainably and nutritiously feed itself."
