UCI's Catastrophic Leave Donation Program (log in required) allows the continuation of salary and benefits for an eligible employee who has exhausted all paid leave due to a serious illness or injury or because the employee is caring for a seriously ill family member. The program relies on the donation of vacation leave by the employee's colleagues.The UCI Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free, confidential benefit that can help address personal or work-related issues faced by UCI faculty, staff, retirees and dependents at both the UCI Campus and UC Irvine Health - including financial wellness concerns such as debit, . This service, staffed by experienced clinicians, is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Guidance Resources can assist with many financial, legal or consumer concerns in addition to providing referrals to community resources.
